MASSOB Announces May 30 Sit-at-Home for Biafra Remembrance
The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra has declared a sit-at-home across the South-East on May 30 to honour those who lost their lives during the Nigerian civil war and mark 59 years since the declaration of Biafra by Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.
The group said businesses, schools, markets, banks, and motor parks are expected to close from 6am to 4pm. MASSOB also called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, while insisting the exercise would remain peaceful without force or intimidation.
