‘I Beat You Guys’ – Davido Teases Wike During Visit in Abuja

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has sparked reactions online after a video showing him teasing the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over the outcome of the Osun State governorship election went viral.
In the 16-second video, Davido was seen accompanying his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, during a visit to Wike’s residence in Abuja.
While interacting with the minister, Davido jokingly told Wike that he had defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the election.
“But I won. I beat you guys,” Davido said.
Wike responded humorously, telling the singer that he would collect Governor Adeleke’s Certificate of Return, a comment that triggered laughter among those present.
The visit came shortly after Governor Adeleke held a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House in Abuja.
The light-hearted exchange between Davido and Wike has since generated reactions on social media, with many users commenting on the singer’s playful reference to the election outcome.
