Polaris Bank Takes Customer Service to “The Extra Mile” Ahead of 2026 Customer Service Week
Polaris Bank has announced plans to join organisations worldwide in celebrating the 2026 Customer Service Week, scheduled for October 5–9, under the theme, “The Extra Mile.”
The bank said the theme reflects its continued commitment to placing customers at the centre of its operations while improving the quality of their banking experience.
According to Polaris Bank, Customer Service Week has become an opportunity to appreciate customers, recognise employees who demonstrate exceptional service and reinforce a customer-focused culture across the organisation.
The bank noted that its customer service celebrations have evolved over the years, with themes including “Dream Team” in 2020, “Team Service” in 2023 and “Mission: Possible” in 2025.
Polaris Bank also highlighted its recognition in the 2022 KPMG Customer Experience Survey, where it was reported as the most improved bank in the retail segment, moving five places to sixth position.
Speaking ahead of the 2026 celebration, the Managing Director/CEO of Polaris Bank, Kayode Lawal, said customers remain central to the bank’s growth.
“Customers are at the heart of everything we do. Their feedback, trust and partnership challenge us to keep improving and delivering value every day,” Lawal said.
He added that Customer Service Week provides an opportunity to recognise the relationship with customers and reinforce the need for service that goes beyond expectations.
The bank explained that “The Extra Mile” reflects the changing expectations of banking customers, including faster issue resolution, clearer communication, greater empathy, simplified processes and anticipating customers’ needs.
Polaris Bank said the commitment will cover its physical and digital channels, including its branches, business network, contact centre and digital banking platform, VULTe.
As part of the celebration, the bank plans to engage customers and recognise service champions through activities across its branches, digital channels and other customer touchpoints.
Polaris Bank also said it will use the week to encourage customer feedback and strengthen the connection between customer insights and continuous service improvement.
The bank reaffirmed that exceptional customer service should be an everyday practice rather than a once-a-year celebration.
