Polaris Bank Strengthens Cancer Advocacy Through Community Impact
Polaris Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to cancer awareness, early detection and patient support through its partnership with WinCancer Foundation during the inaugural WinCancer Games in Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Polaris Bank’s Head of Brand Management and Corporate Communications, Rasheed Bolarinwa, said the bank’s social impact efforts go beyond financial performance to improving lives and supporting vulnerable communities.
Through its partnership with Care Organisation Public Enlightenment (C.O.P.E), Polaris Bank has supported breast cancer screening for more than 22,000 women, provided three screening machines, sponsored treatment for over 30 indigent cancer patients and supported survivors.
The bank also continued its cancer initiatives in 2026 with free breast cancer screening for 100 women and prostate cancer screening for 250 men aged 40 and above.
The WinCancer Games, themed “Awareness to Action,” brought participants together through sports, fundraising and cancer education. WinCancer Foundation, founded by two-time breast cancer survivor Olabisi Oladiran, provides awareness, patient support, food assistance, care packages and referrals for cancer patients.
Polaris Bank said it would continue working with healthcare professionals, advocacy groups and communities to promote early detection, access to care and sustained support for people affected by cancer.
