Kebbi Police Arrest Two Men for Defiling 10-Year-Old and 5-Year-Old Girls in Separate Cases

The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested two men for allegedly defiling minors in separate incidents in Zuru and Birnin Kebbi local government areas.
Commissioner of Police, Bello Sani, disclosed this during a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, confirming that both suspects have been arraigned in court following investigations.
According to the police, on August 27, a 10-year-old girl, Vina Shehu, from Bedi in Zuru LGA, was lured into a room and sexually assaulted by Amos Jondo Maliki.
In a separate case on September 6, a five-year-old girl, Nana A’isha Aminu Wala, from Goribbu area, Birnin Kebbi, reportedly went to buy sweets when 48-year-old Mansuru Sani allegedly lured her into his shop and assaulted her.
Detectives from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) investigated both cases before charging the suspects to court.
The Commissioner commended the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Junaidu Bello Marshall, for ensuring swift prosecution, and reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to protecting children and vulnerable groups.
He also urged parents to closely monitor their children and promptly report any suspected cases of abuse to the police.
