India Police Nabbed Nigerian Who Abandoned Schooling for Drug Peddling

John Nero, a Nigerian residing in Karnataka, a southern state in India, has been arrested by the Indian police for alleged drug peddling.
According to The Times of India, Nero, 26, was caught selling methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (MDMA), a synthetic drug that alters mood and perception, in the state
Eight grams of the drug was also reportedly seized from the Nigerian during his arrest on Monday.
The police stated that Nero came to India on a student visa in 2014, after securing admission to study at the education department of Annamalai University, still in southern India.
The police further said Nero discontinued his studies and took to crime
After receiving information from a source that the Nigerian was selling drugs in Vidyaranyapura, an area within the state, a team headed by Mohammed Mukarram, an Indian police inspector, rushed to the scene and arrested him.
Apart from the drugs seized from him, a laptop and two mobile phones were recovered from Nero. No trial date has been fixed yet
