LOKOJA, KOGI — Fidelity Bank Plc has provided essential food items to more than 1,000 families in Kogi State as part of its ongoing efforts to combat food insecurity and support vulnerable households across Nigeria.
The food distribution exercise, held at the Youth Centre in Lokoja through the bank’s Fidelity Food Bank Initiative, brought relief to families facing economic hardship and reinforced the bank’s commitment to community development.
Since the initiative was launched in April 2023, the Fidelity Food Bank has reached hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries nationwide, supporting efforts towards the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2, which focuses on Zero Hunger.
Speaking during the exercise, Regional Bank Head, North Central II, Fidelity Bank Plc, Mrs. Blessing Onwumere, said the initiative goes beyond providing food, stressing that it is designed to uplift lives, strengthen communities and promote resilience.
