Fidelity Bank Strengthens Support for Northern SMEs at Kano Business Forum

Fidelity Bank Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to helping businesses in Northern Nigeria grow and become more resilient through its Quarterly Business Forum held in Kano.
The forum, themed “Positioning Northern Businesses for Growth,” brought together entrepreneurs, SME owners, customers and industry stakeholders to discuss access to finance, financial management, business structuring and sustainable growth opportunities.
Fidelity Bank Executive Director, North, Sufiyanu Garba, described Northern Nigeria as a major driver of Nigeria’s economic future, highlighting the region’s agricultural resources, trading culture, manufacturing capacity and large consumer market.
The Bank’s Divisional Head, SME Banking, Ugochi Osinigwe, said the forum serves as a listening platform where Fidelity Bank engages directly with entrepreneurs, understands their challenges and provides financing, advisory services, training and strategic partnerships.
The Bank also highlighted its zero-maintenance-fee account offerings and free capacity-building programmes designed to help SMEs improve record keeping, financial management, business structuring and access to finance.
Business owners at the forum commended Fidelity Bank for creating opportunities for direct engagement and providing practical knowledge to support enterprise growth.
The forum forms part of Fidelity Bank’s broader efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s SME ecosystem through finance, financial education, inclusion and enterprise development.
