“Don’t Pray for Your Wife to Feed You” — Pete Edochie Warns Married Men

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has advised married men not to pray for a situation where they become dependent on their wives for food and other basic needs.
Edochie said such circumstances could expose a man to ridicule, emotional distress and insults, urging men not to take their traditional responsibility of providing for their families lightly.
The veteran actor made the remarks while appearing on Isbae U’s interview platform, Curiosity Made Me Ask.
Speaking from his experience of nearly six decades in marriage, Edochie said men should understand the potential emotional impact of becoming financially dependent on their wives.
He said:
“I want you to listen properly. This is wisdom from somebody who has been in that institution for almost 60 years. I have been married for the past 57 years.
“If things change and your wife has to feed you for two or three days, you would want to take poison. The kind of insult that will be heaped on you because your wife is feeding you, don’t ever think about it.”
His comments have sparked conversations online about marriage, financial responsibility, gender roles and the pressures placed on men to provide for their families.
