Delta: I Defeated Okowa in 97 Wards, Says Ned Nwoko Amid APC Primary Dispute
Delta North Senator, Ned Nwoko, has insisted that he secured a sweeping victory over former governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election held in Delta State.
In a statement released through his Media Office, Nwoko urged the APC national leadership to uphold what he described as a clear mandate freely given by party delegates.
He claimed he won in 97 out of 98 wards across Delta North, saying he recorded about 123,000 votes compared to the 6,000 votes he attributed to Okowa.
Nwoko called on the party’s National Working Committee to resist any move to overturn the outcome, insisting that the will of party members must be respected to preserve internal democracy.
He further stated that video evidence from polling wards supports his claims and should be used to verify the result.
