Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo Confirms Nigerian Roots, Reveals Family Ties to Lagos and Ekiti States

Chelsea FC defender Tosin Adarabioyo has proudly acknowledged his Nigerian heritage, revealing that his father hails from Lagos State while his mother is from Ekiti State.
The 27-year-old, who was born in London, United Kingdom, made the revelation during a recent interview with Arise News, where he discussed his football journey, cultural background, and strong friendship with Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer.
“My mum is from Ekiti. Our plan is to go there and look around where she was raised and lived,” Tosin said.
“My brother knows better, but my dad is from Lagos,” he added.
Although raised in Manchester, Tosin has maintained a strong connection to his roots. He and Cole Palmer both came through the Manchester City Academy and share deep ties, having trained and played together as youths.
“I was born in London but raised in Manchester. Cole is also from Manchester; we were in the Manchester City academy together. We have a lot of mutual friends,” Tosin noted.
