Tonto Dike Opens Up: Started Smoking at 13, Overcame 27-Year Addiction

Nollywood actress Tonto Dike has opened up about her long battle with addiction, revealing that she began smoking at just 13 years old and struggled with it for 27 years.

Speaking during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church, Dike also shared that she had faced challenges with alcohol, masturbation, and prolonged anger issues, describing these struggles as forms of “demonic oppression.” She credited her healing and freedom to divine intervention, noting that positive changes in her life began after her spiritual life improved.

“I started smoking when I was 13. God also delivered me from masturbation. Even as a child, I experienced sexual activity in dreams,” she disclosed.

Dike explained that her smoking habit was influenced by her father and warned parents against exposing their children to harmful behaviors.

The 40-year-old further revealed that God had recently healed her from what she called “demonic anger,” which had negatively impacted her personal relationships.

Following her testimony, Pastor Jerry Eze prayed over the actress, declaring that “the burden of sin is broken” and describing her as “a voice in her generation.”
