Binance Hit by $6.3 Billion Attack, Billions Frozen
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance said it is working to contain a “complex attack” that targeted about $6.3 billion in funds.
The company said around half of the affected funds have been frozen to prevent a potentially massive theft, while investigations uncovered additional points of breach beyond the initial findings.
Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by daily trading volume, said it is continuing efforts to secure the affected assets and determine the full scope of the attack.
