2027: APC Governors Split Over Wike, Uzodimma, AbdulRazaq Feud

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is reportedly facing divisions among its governors over the ongoing political disagreement involving FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
According to party sources, some APC governors are sympathetic to Wike, while others are aligning with Uzodimma, who chairs the Progressive Governors’ Forum, and AbdulRazaq, chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum.
Governors reportedly sympathetic to Wike include Adamawa’s Ahmadu Fintiri, Akwa Ibom’s Umo Eno, Edo’s Monday Okpebholo, Lagos’ Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Kogi’s Ahmed Ododo.
On the other side, Uzodimma, AbdulRazaq, Kaduna Governor Uba Sani and Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun are reportedly among those opposed to the minister’s position.
A senior party source quoted in the report said not all governors are against Wike, noting that some had maintained relationships with him before the current disagreement.
Meanwhile, some governors are reportedly yet to take sides and are waiting for President Bola Tinubu to return before deciding their positions.
The reported divisions come as political alignments within the APC continue to attract attention ahead of the 2027 general elections.
