Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has pledged urgent infrastructural and social intervention for communities in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area devastated by recent bandit attacks.
During a visit to Banga, Sakajiki, Kuryar Madaro, Maguru, and Tambarawa, the governor met with survivors and condoled families of 38 victims killed while in captivity.
Governor Lawal vowed to provide roads, electricity, potable water, and mobile network services to restore normalcy and improve living conditions in the affected areas.
Condemning the fresh wave of violence, Lawal described it as a calculated attempt by “enemies” to instill fear and destabilize the state.
“When the unfortunate incident occurred, I was not in the state. I immediately directed the deputy governor to lead a high-level condolence delegation. Upon my return, I made visiting the affected communities my top priority,” he stated.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, urging residents to remain steadfast in prayers for lasting peace.
He also prayed for God to “expose and shame” those behind the killings, assuring that security measures will be intensified to prevent further tragedies.
