Woman Kills Sister With Cutlass, Injures Mother and Niece in Enugu

A tragic incident has rocked the Aji community in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State, where a woman allegedly killed her younger sister with a cutlass and left her mother and niece critically injured.

The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, reportedly confessed to being “possessed by a strange being” during the attack. In a widely circulated video shared by Anyika TV, she claimed, “It was not me that did it. I don’t know what came over me; I just saw myself with the cutlass and started attacking them.”

The victims were rushed to Bishop Shanahan Hospital in Nsukka, where they are currently battling for their lives. A devastated family member stated, “We are shocked and don’t know what could have led her to do such a thing.”

Attempts to reach the Enugu State Police Command for comments were unsuccessful, but sources confirm that the Igbo-Eze North police have launched an investigation into the horrifying incident.
