The Super Falcons of Nigeria are set to clash with host nation Morocco in the final of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after a thrilling 2-1 victory over South Africa in the semi-finals.
The match, played at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, saw Nigeria take an early lead through a penalty converted by Rasheedat Ajibade. South Africa equalized shortly before halftime, but Michelle Alozie secured the win with a dramatic stoppage-time goal.
Nigeria is aiming to win a record-extending 12th WAFCON title, while Morocco will be contesting their first-ever final in front of a home crowd. The final is scheduled for Saturday, July 27.
