Victor Osimhen’s much-anticipated transfer from Napoli to Turkish giants Galatasaray is now at risk of collapsing, following Napoli’s rejection of a fourth bid from the Istanbul-based club.
According to Nigerian sports journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, popularly known as Buchi Laba, Napoli has once again turned down an offer from Galatasaray, despite the club reportedly meeting all the key terms initially set by the Italian side.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Buchi Laba, who has close ties to the Nigerian striker, stated:
“Yes, 100% confirmed: Napoli rejects Galatasaray’s 4th offer for Victor Osimhen.
In the 4th offer, Galatasaray agreed to all terms and conditions requested by the Italians, but Napoli now wants more in the second installment payments and a revised sell-on clause. Galatasaray has rejected these new demands.”
Despite Osimhen’s clear desire to join Galatasaray, the transfer has stalled due to Napoli’s shifting demands. The Turkish club is reportedly undecided on whether to table a fifth offer or end negotiations altogether.
“He has made it clear to Napoli. He wants Galatasaray,” Buchi Laba added.
“Galatasaray are currently discussing internally whether they will make another offer.”
The 25-year-old Nigerian forward has been linked with several clubs in recent months, but Galatasaray emerged as a leading contender after reportedly matching Napoli’s valuation — only for the deal to be complicated by late financial adjustments.
As things stand, the transfer saga remains unresolved, and Osimhen’s future continues to hang in the balance ahead of the new European football season.
