Galatasaray have made a significant breakthrough in their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, paying an initial €40 million to Napoli as both clubs finalize the permanent transfer agreement.
According to renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray and Napoli have reached advanced stages in completing the deal, with only a few final details remaining.
As part of the transfer terms, the Turkish Super Lig champions will make a second installment payment of €35 million to Napoli within one year, bringing the total value of the deal to €75 million.
In a strategic move, Napoli have reportedly included a penalty clause that prevents Galatasaray from selling Osimhen to any Serie A club within the next two years. While the full sell-on clause is yet to be finalized, talks between both clubs are said to be progressing smoothly.
Osimhen, 26, spent the 2024/2025 season on loan at Galatasaray, where he delivered an impressive performance, helping the Istanbul-based side clinch the domestic title. The Nigerian international has made it clear he wants to continue with the Turkish giants.
Despite receiving a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, Osimhen rejected the move in favor of staying at Galatasaray, further solidifying his commitment to the club.
