Controversial Nigerian social media personality and activist, VeryDarkMan, has ignited a fresh wave of online buzz following the release of a fiery diss track aimed at several prominent public figures, including newly elected Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, popular street-hop singer Portable, and influential cleric Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin.
In the controversial track, VeryDarkMan mocked Governor Okpebholo over his recently leaked West African Examination Council (WAEC) results, which allegedly reveal poor academic performance, including a grade of E8. He directed sharp criticism at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), accusing the body of lowering standards by endorsing a candidate with such credentials.
“E8, WAEC result of a governor. INEC, shame on you,” he rapped, referencing the grade in a scathing verse that quickly caught traction on social media.
The activist didn’t stop there. He also revisited his ongoing feud with singer Portable, alluding to an unresolved tricycle theft case involving the artist. VeryDarkMan recalled how the incident led to Portable’s brief detention and public embarrassment.
Adding more fuel to the fire, he took shots at Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, calling out his widely circulated “healing water” and other spiritual merchandise. He accused the popular preacher of exploiting vulnerable followers under the guise of miracles and spiritual solutions.
The diss track has triggered a storm of reactions across social media platforms. While some users praised VeryDarkMan for his boldness in calling out public figures, others condemned the track for being unnecessarily personal and disrespectful.
Here are a few of the reactions from netizens:
- @jack_sonsucess: “What a jam.”

- @villagetapper: “Portable wey no get shame will still come for him. He should know there are rumors he is into men allegedly.”
- @otomealex: “Deeone sef collect last part.”

The diss track, accompanied by a video, continues to trend online as debates rage on over whether VeryDarkMan crossed the line or exposed hard truths about Nigerian public figures.
