Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise stunned PSV Eindhoven with a commanding 3-1 win in their Champions League group stage encounter on Tuesday night.
The visitors took control early when Péter David calmly converted from the penalty spot in the 9th minute, silencing the home crowd. PSV struggled to settle into the game, and Union doubled their advantage before halftime through Anouar Ait El Hadj, who finished off a swift counterattack in the 39th minute.
Despite Eindhoven’s efforts to mount a comeback, Union remained disciplined and extended their lead in the 81st minute as Kevin Mac Allister found the back of the net with a decisive strike.
PSV managed to pull one back late in stoppage time through Ruben van Bommel, but it proved too little, too late.
