Two Killed in Osisioma Road Crash as Abia Task Force Shuts Down Company Facility

Tragedy struck along the Osisioma axis of the Enugu–Aba–Port Harcourt Expressway after a fatal collision between a loaded truck and a white Toyota Sequoia resulted in the death of two occupants of the SUV.
The accident, which occurred on Thursday, also left several other passengers with severe injuries. Eyewitness accounts indicated that the Toyota Sequoia rammed into a truck that was parked on the expressway, leading to the instant death of two persons.
In reaction to the incident, the Abia State Harmonised Task Force (ASHTF), Aba Zone, sealed the premises of the company linked to the truck involved in the crash. The action, according to the task force, was taken to enable a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Speaking on the development, the Aba Zonal Coordinator of ASHTF, Uche Wogi, stated that the company’s premises would remain closed until further notice, pending the outcome of investigations.
Lawmakers representing Osisioma Ngwa North and Osisioma Ngwa South constituencies in the Abia State House of Assembly, Iheanacho Nwogu and Fyne Ahuama, respectively, described the incident as deeply troubling and called for stronger road safety measures.
Meanwhile, survivors of the crash were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment.
As of the time of reporting, the Abia State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) had yet to issue an official statement on the accident.
