Two Dead, Four Injured in Tragic Road Accident Along Benin–Iguobazuwa Route

A tragic road crash at Ovia River, along the Iguobazuwa–Benin highway in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, has claimed the lives of two people and left four others seriously injured.
Confirming the incident, the Edo State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Cyril Mathew, said the accident involved seven individuals, with one person escaping unhurt.
Mathew explained that the crash was caused by excessive speeding by a tipper driver who lost control of his vehicle and collided with another car.
He added that the injured victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the mortuary.
