Trump wins Nevada, Virgin Islands, inches closer to Republican nomination
Former United States President Donald Trump on Thursday was declared winner of the Republican presidential nominating caucuses in Nevada and the US Virgin Islands.
The win moves Trump closer to becoming his party’s White House flag bearer in the forthcoming presidential election in November this year.
The former President was the only major candidate competing in Nevada’s caucuses and was set to win the state’s 26 delegates to the party’s nominating convention in July.
