Trump Blames Biden’s Immigration Policies for Rachel Morin’s Murder

In a post shared Monday night on Truth Social, Trump said the man convicted of Morin’s murder should never have been allowed into the country. “Moments ago, the illegal criminal, who was allowed into our country by crooked Joe Biden, was convicted of the heinous murder of Rachel Morin,” he wrote.
He described Morin as a “beautiful mother of five” from Maryland and said her death came at the hands of “a monster who should have never been here in the first place.” Trump vowed that her memory would be honored and pledged to strengthen protections for women across the United States.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Martinez-Hernandez, entered the U.S. illegally from El Salvador in 2023. He was later arrested in connection with Morin’s death, which occurred in Harford County, Maryland. Authorities found Morin’s body in August 2023 after she was reported missing.
On Monday, Martinez-Hernandez was convicted of first-degree murder, rape, and kidnapping. Prosecutors confirmed that he intends to seek a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
