Tinubu Extends Tenure of Immigration CG Kemi Nandap Until 2026

President Bola Tinubuhttp://President Bola Tinubu has approved the extension of Kemi Nandap’s tenure as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) until December 31, 2026.
In a statement issued by Presidential Spokesman Bayo Onanuhttp://by Presidential Spokesman Bayo Onanuoga, it was revealed that Nandap began her career with the Nigeria Immigration Service on October 9, 1989. She was appointed Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, with an initial tenure set to end on August 31, 2025. However, following her commendable leadership, the President has decided to extend her service.
Under her stewardship, the Nigeria Immigration Service has made significant progress in its core responsibilities. The improvements include enhanced border management, modernization of immigration procedures, and strengthened national security measures.
President Tinubu praised Nandap’s dedication and leadership, urging her to remain committed to the Service’s strategic objectives, which align with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Furthermore, the President reaffirmed his government’s commitment to equipping and supporting the Nigeria Immigration Service to safeguard the nation’s territorial integrity and facilitate safe, legal, and orderly migration.
