Speaking at the inauguration of the National Youth Congress Planning Committee at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Tinubu emphasized that his administration’s policies prioritize youth empowerment and long-term national development.

Fuel Subsidy Removal: A Step Towards a Prosperous Future

Tinubu highlighted the importance of making tough decisions today to ensure a better tomorrow. He stated:

“Every decision I make is about securing the future. Removing the fuel subsidy was necessary to invest in critical infrastructure and create economic opportunities for our youth. If we grow prosperity at home, our people will have fewer reasons to seek opportunities abroad. Nigeria is our home, and it must be developed for future generations.”

The President officially launched the National Youth Congress Planning Committee, urging them to leverage technology, focus on agricultural development, and work towards Nigeria’s food security.

Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, praised the initiative, describing Tinubu’s government as a listening administration that values youth contributions.

Samson Itodo, Executive Director of Yiaga Africa and a lead member of the committee, commended Tinubu’s commitment to youth engagement, emphasizing that the committee will drive impactful policies for young Nigerians.
