Lagos, Nigeria – President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, officially laid the foundation for FirstBank Group’s new eco-friendly headquarters in Eko Atlantic City on Wednesday. This landmark 40-story skyscraper is set to become Nigeria’s tallest building and a game-changer in the financial services industry.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Shettima emphasized that the FirstBank Tower represents Nigeria’s economic strength and future ambitions. “Today, we lay the foundation for a monumental structure in Nigeria’s financial landscape—the FirstBank iconic tower. This tower will be a testament to our nation’s economic strength and vitality,” he stated. The 40-story structure, set to be the tallest in West Africa, underscores FirstBank’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Eko Atlantic will be a model for Africa’s urban future,” Sanwo-Olu remarked.
