Tinubu Arrives Brazil for Two-Day State Visit, Set to Deepen Nigeria-Brazil Ties

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Brasília, Brazil, for a two-day state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Brazil.
The presidential aircraft touched down at Brasília International Airport at about 12:30 a.m. local time (4:30 a.m. Nigerian time). He was received by the Secretary for Africa and the Middle East, Carlos José Moreno Garcete, the Brazilian Ambassador to Nigeria, and senior Nigerian officials, including the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
On Monday, President Tinubu will meet with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva at the Planalto Palace. Both leaders are expected to oversee the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and address a joint press conference.
Discussions during the visit will focus on expanding cooperation in agriculture, energy transition, regional security, and other areas of mutual strategic interest.
