Terror Leader Threatens to Abduct Top Officials, Including President Tinubu, After Kebbi and Niger School Kidnappings

A self-proclaimed terrorist commander has released a disturbing threat video, vowing that his gang will soon extend their kidnapping operations to senior military officers, state governors, and even President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In the footage, obtained by SaharaReporters, the armed militant — dressed in what looked like a Nigerian Army jacket — bragged about recent mass abductions of schoolchildren in Kebbi and Niger states.
The unidentified commander claimed that their activities were not hindered by the recent arrests made by security agencies, insisting that the government had failed in its duty to safeguard citizens.
“We have woken up. We abducted students in Kebbi and Niger. Very soon, we’ll be seizing Nigerian soldiers and taking them into the forest,” he declared.
Pointing to the uniform he wore, he continued: “Look at this clothing — it belongs to a soldier. Nigeria, in the coming days, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and many others.”
He added that Nigerians should seek divine protection instead of relying on government institutions.
“The government cannot protect you. We are not bothered about their arrests. Turn back to God to defend you and wipe your tears,” he said.
The video ended with the terrorist sending greetings to his supporters online: “No big man will wipe your tears. We have risen. I greet all of you on social media. Have a good day.”
This threat comes shortly after a fresh wave of school kidnappings rocked northern Nigeria.
On November 21, 2025, terrorists invaded St. Mary’s Papiri Private Catholic Secondary School in the Papiri community of Agwara Local Government Area, Niger State, abducting a large number of students and teachers.
Local residents who visited the school after the overnight attack described the operation as highly coordinated, occurring between 2:00 am and 3:00 am.
Agwara LGA Disaster and Relief official, Ahmed Abdullahi Rofia, and the council chairman’s media aide, Bello Gidi, also confirmed the incident.
Gidi explained: “Yes, it’s true that bandits kidnapped students and teachers from St. Mary’s Papiri Private Catholic Secondary School. The reports we are getting indicate that over 100 students and teachers were taken. The school is mixed — boys and girls.”
The incident happened just five days after another attack in Kebbi State at Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School, where about 25 female students were abducted and one staff member killed. A security guard also sustained injuries.
The attackers reportedly stormed the school compound around 5:52 am as students prepared for morning routines, firing shots to instill fear before carrying out the abductions.
These repeated attacks have intensified concerns over worsening insecurity and the vulnerability of schools in northern Nigeria.
