Taraba State University Student Found Dead in Boyfriend’s House in Jalingo

The Taraba State University (TSU) community has been thrown into mourning following the shocking death of Comfort Jimtop Oliver, a 100-level Mass Communication student, whose lifeless body was discovered in the Bakasi area of Jalingo metropolis.

Oliver, who hailed from Takum Local Government Area, was reportedly found dead inside a residence said to belong to her boyfriend.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, but police authorities confirmed that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of death and the events leading up to the tragedy.

Students and staff of the university have expressed grief over the incident, describing the deceased as a promising young woman whose future was abruptly cut short.

Although the university’s spokesperson could not be reached, some staff members confirmed the development, adding that the institution will work with security agencies to uncover the truth.

Confirming the case, the Taraba State Police Command spokesperson, DSP James Lashen, said details remain sketchy but assured that findings from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area will be communicated as investigations progress.
