Transfer News: Nigeria’s Adebayo Adeleye Joins Greek Super League Side FC Volos on Two-Year Contrac

Super Eagles goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye has completed a move to Greek Super League club FC Volos, DAILY POST confirms.

Adeleye, 25, signed a two-year deal with the Greek outfit after leaving Cypriot First Division side Enosis Neon Paralimni, where he featured in 30 matches last season and impressed with consistent performances between the sticks.

Before his stint in Cyprus, Adeleye played in Israel for five years, turning out for Hapoel Katamon and Hapoel Jerusalem between 2019 and 2024.

His new club, FC Volos, wrapped up last season in 11th place in the Greek Super League and are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

On the international stage, Adeleye has earned one cap for Nigeria’s Super Eagles but missed out on the squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire.

The highly-rated shot-stopper is hoping his move to Greece will boost his club career and increase his chances of breaking back into the national team setup.
