Summer Transfer Window 2025: Premier League, EFL, and European Deadline Day Dates Confirmed

Story written by Okafor Joseph September 1,2025
When does the Premier League and EFL transfer window close?
This year’s window for Premier League and EFL clubs will shut earlier than usual, closing at 7pm on Monday, September 1, instead of the traditional 11pm deadline.
The adjustment, agreed upon by the Premier League, EFL, and FA, is designed to establish a more balanced working pattern for staff across football.
As always, clubs may still have a two-hour grace period to finalize deals, provided that the necessary paperwork is submitted to the FA by the 7pm deadline.
For international signings, the process follows FIFA’s guidelines, with clubs typically having until midnight to meet all requirements.
When do other leagues close their transfer windows?
- LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1: All close at 7pm on Monday, September 1.
- Women’s Super League (WSL): Closes at 11pm on Thursday, September 4.
- Saudi Pro League: Closes later, on Wednesday, September 10.
With transfer activity heating up, clubs across Europe and beyond are racing to finalize their squads before the deadlines hit.
