Nigerian hip-hop star Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has alleged that several of his colleagues in the music industry are jealous of his achievements.

According to the rapper, the claims that he lacks lyrical depth are fueled by envy rather than genuine criticism.

Speaking on the Toronto Ada’s Room podcast, the “Pity This Boy” crooner said he has attained greater international recognition than most Nigerian rappers who often undermine his talent.

“In Nigeria, they say my rap isn’t good, but I’m the most featured rapper by international artists,” Odumodublvck said. “I think it’s jealousy because I sing my own hooks, my songs are hits, and I get more bookings than them.”

He argued that his ability to both rap and sing makes him stand out, which, according to him, fuels resentment among his peers.

“The envy runs deep, especially from those who think they’re better. But I don’t pay attention to that. I’m focused on the fans who believe in me,” he added.

Odumodublvck also challenged his critics to prove their superiority by outselling him and drawing larger crowds.

“If they claim to be better, let them sell more records and sell out more shows,” he declared confidently.
