Controversial Nigerian singer Portable reportedly evaded arrest after allegedly assaulting his fourth baby mama, actress Ashabi Simple, during an incident at his bar in Ogun State on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

A viral video circulating online shows Ashabi confronting the singer, holding his clothing and demanding recognition as his wife rather than being called a baby mama. She reportedly said:

“Oya Pami baby, I’m also your wife, you’ve to stop calling me your baby mama.”

Portable responded by pushing her and insisting that only his official wife, Bewaji, holds that status, referring to other women with his children as baby mamas. The exchange escalated, with Ashabi reportedly reacting emotionally:

“Then you will have to kill me, baby.”

Following the altercation, Ashabi and her siblings reportedly reported Portable to the police for assault and abuse. In an Instagram video, Ashabi alleged that the police found Portable’s pregnant wife at home, while Portable himself escaped arrest. She recounted the incident, claiming he slapped her, beat her, seized phones, and threatened her and her siblings with an axe.
