Retail Supermarkets Nigeria Limited, owners of Novare Wuse Central Mall known as ShopRite based in Abuja has announced its plan to close the mall
This was announced by Dr Folakemi Fadahunsi, the Organisation the Chief Executive Officer, saying it took the decision after evaluating Nigerian business climate and financial conditions
“This decision has been made after thorough examination of the store’s financial situation and current business climate. We believe this is the best course of action in our organisation long term growth”
“If your services are specific tied to the Novare Wuse Central Mall store and if there is an oustanding balance between our companies, we will carefully review our accounting records over next 60 days (about two months). We will then promptly contact you to confirm the amount owed and discuss a suitable payment schedule” the statement read in part.
“Effective from June 30, our company will no longer operate in Wuse, Abuja and we will no longer require your services at Novare mall, Wuse Abuja. Please note that all existing service contracts will also terminate for the store” the statement noted further.
It also noted that all service contracts would be terminated.
Different companies have left Nigeria recently citing economic concerns and business climate.
