Outspoken Plateau State cleric, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has announced plans to take the Nigerian government to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over alleged targeted killings of Christians in Plateau and other northern regions.

Rev. Dachomo, regional chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi, made the declaration on his social media platform, revealing that he has compiled a detailed list of Christians killed by Islamic extremists and Fulani bandits, along with destroyed churches since 2010. He intends to present the evidence to the ICC and the U.S. government for action.

The cleric accused both the Nigerian government and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) of remaining silent amid the mass killings, claiming their denial has emboldened the attackers.

To support the legal action and humanitarian efforts, Rev. Dachomo said donations have begun flowing from concerned Nigerians and international agencies to aid victims’ families and further document atrocities.

He pointed to a recent mass burial of 17 victims in Heipang district as evidence of a Christian genocide, despite official denials. His report for the ICC will include survivor testimonies, photographs of mass graves, and detailed accounts of attacks across the Middle Belt.

“The world must know the truth. I will go to any length to expose the lies of this government. We also plan to take legal action against the Miyetti Allah group for their role in these atrocities,” he declared.

Rev. Dachomo recounted past incidents, including the 2010 Dogo Nahawa attack in Jos South, where over 500 Christians were killed, and personal losses in repeated attacks on his village. He described horrifying scenes, such as the burning of worshippers during a church service in Jaruwa, where none survived.

He emphasized his commitment to documenting attacks in all affected areas, including Wurekum, Doruwa, Mangu, and Bokkos, compiling a comprehensive report to prove that Christian genocide is occurring in Nigeria.
