Regina Daniels’ Brother, Sammy West, Remanded in Keffi Custodial Centre

Sammy West, brother of Nigerian actress Regina Daniels, has been remanded in Keffi prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court.
Reports indicate that Sammy was sent to custody on Thursday without access to legal representation. His elder brother, who goes by @sweezzy1 on Instagram, announced the development publicly, calling for answers and questioning the circumstances surrounding the case.
According to him, the magistrate who ordered the remand allegedly became unreachable after bail documents were reportedly filed.
“He is currently at Keffi Prison! The Dutse Magistrate has suddenly disappeared. Ned, you can pay everybody, but you can’t pay for integrity,” he wrote.
He also claimed Sammy was denied the right to contact his lawyers or family, adding, “Sammy said my lawyers are on their way. I was not allowed to make a call. Judge said remand him until they can file for his bail. Bail has been filed. Magistrate has disappeared. No one available to sign.”
A video shared online showed Sammy alleging that he was held incommunicado since his arrest on Monday and was not allowed access to relatives or legal counsel.
Family sources claim Sammy was arrested in Lagos and transported to Abuja by Senator Ned Nwoko via private jet.
Regina Daniels, who is reportedly in a public marital dispute with Senator Nwoko, responded online, alleging that her brother and sister were detained to force her to submit to rehabilitation. The senator has accused her of evading treatment and also alleged substance abuse, while she previously accused him of domestic violence.
