Lawrence Daniels, the brother of actress Regina Daniels, has responded to a recent statement made by his brother-in-law, Ned Nwoko, addressing the rumours linking him to actress Chika Ike.
Earlier, social media was abuzz with claims that Ned Nwoko, a billionaire politician and husband to Regina Daniels, was the father of Chika Ike’s newborn and was planning to marry her as his seventh wife. The rumour gained traction after the controversial social media blogger Gist Lover spread the story, coinciding with the deactivation of Regina Daniels’ Instagram account.
In response to the allegations, Ned Nwoko issued a statement through his director of communication, denying the rumours. The statement categorically refuted claims that he was involved with Chika Ike in any romantic capacity, let alone planning to make her his seventh wife or that she was pregnant with his child. Nwoko dismissed the speculation as “malicious gossip.”
“Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumours alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him,” the statement read. “We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.”
In his own reaction, Lawrence Daniels, known by his moniker Swezzy, took to social media to mock the blogger Gist Lover, writing, “Una don break Gistlover face what’s this nau.” His comment playfully mocked the blogger and supported his brother-in-law’s statement against the unfounded rumours.
