Portable Demands N1 Billion to Fight VeryDarkMan, Rejects Soso Soberekon’s N100 Million Offer

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has rejected a proposed N100 million offer to engage in a celebrity boxing match with social media activist VeryDarkMan, demanding a N1 billion payout instead.
The singer made his position known in a viral video posted to his Instagram page on Sunday, where he dismissed the N100 million prize money offered by music executive Soso Soberekon as inadequate.
According to Portable, the proposed amount does not match his public status or market value. He claimed that the money is equivalent to what he frequently receives from his fanbase.
“That N100 million, my fans give it to me. N100 million is small for me to fight VeryDarkMan,” he said in the video.
“Let them give me one billion naira, I will fight him and beat him.”
Portable Criticizes Fear Around VeryDarkMan
In the video, Portable further mocked those who are allegedly afraid to confront or prosecute VeryDarkMan, implying that it would take more than money to step into the ring with someone seen as “untouchable.”
“If anybody can drop N1 billion, I will fight him,” he continued.
“Someone you can’t hold, you are now asking me to fight and beat him.
You are scared of him, you can’t jail him.”
Feud Escalates Ahead of Proposed Celebrity Boxing Match
Portable’s statement comes in response to Soso Soberekon’s earlier proposal to host a high-profile boxing match between the two internet sensations at KFT Event Center in Warri, Delta State. The deal included N100 million for the winner and N20 million for the loser—a total of N120 million in prize money.
However, with Portable’s new demand of N1 billion, the possibility of the fight taking place remains uncertain. Fans continue to flood social media with reactions, eagerly awaiting a response from VeryDarkMan and the organizers.
As the drama unfolds, the celebrity feud between Portable and VeryDarkMan is fast becoming one of the most talked-about entertainment stories in Nigeria.
