Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across Nigeria, marking the end of Ramadan 2026.

In a message shared on his verified X account on Friday, Obi encouraged the Muslim community to uphold the values of kindness, support for the vulnerable, and collective efforts toward peace, justice, and national progress.

He wrote, “My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, I celebrate with you on this blessed Eid al-Fitr, marking the successful completion of Ramadan, a period of faith, sacrifice, discipline, and compassion.

“May the lessons of Ramadan—love, humility, generosity, and unity—continue to guide us.

“I pray Almighty Allah accepts your worship, forgives our shortcomings, and blesses you and our nation with security, prosperity, and abundant blessings.
