Country Director of Linkway Outreach Africa, Pastor Daniel Adejoh, has appealed to Nigerians to end blame-trading over alleged genocide and concentrate on working together to stop the killings happening across the country.
Speaking in Abuja on Thursday while responding to comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump about alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria, Adejoh said the focus should be on saving lives and fostering unity, rather than turning the situation into a tool for division.
“This is not the moment for finger-pointing. Human life is sacred and should never be taken for any reason,” he said, stressing that murder violates both national and international laws.
He noted that despite the efforts of multiple administrations, violence has continued in many regions for years. According to him, the renewed global attention offers Nigeria an opportunity to strengthen diplomacy and expand cooperation with developed nations in tackling terrorism.
“Terrorism is not just Nigeria’s problem — it is a global challenge,” he said. “Nigeria must partner with other countries to eliminate terrorist and criminal networks within its territory.”
Adejoh further urged the federal government to constructively engage the U.S. to attract support in addressing insecurity, while commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the steps taken so far to improve national security.
