“We are tired of seeing our children suffer because of a broken system,” said Mrs. Veronica Eze, a parent whose son scored far below expectations despite preparing for months. “The JAMB leadership has failed, and it’s time for a complete overhaul.”
Social media platforms have been flooded with hashtags like #SackJAMBRegistrar and #ScrapUTME, amplifying the voices of concerned parents and educators who argue that tertiary institutions should return to conducting independent entrance exams.
JAMB has yet to respond officially to the public outcry, but education experts warn that continued dissatisfaction could erode trust in Nigeria’s tertiary education admission system.
