Pan Ocean and Newcross Companies recently hosted a grand send‑forth ceremony in Lagos to honor Alhaji Kida Musa, the new Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and former Director of Technical and Sustainability at Pan Ocean.

Musa, who served 15 impactful months with the Pan Ocean/Newcross Group after retiring from TotalEnergies EP Nigeria Limited in 2020, was celebrated by oil and gas industry stakeholders for his strategic contributions and transformational leadership.

A Tribute to Service and Leadership

Chairman of Pan Ocean & Newcross Companies, Dr. Festus Fadeyi, praised Musa for driving key organizational changes and positioning the company for sustainable growth in Nigeria’s dynamic energy sector.

“Congratulations on your well‑deserved appointment as the Chairman of NNPC Limited,” Fadeyi said.

Transformative Impact at Pan Ocean

Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, Mrs. Folashade Alli, described Musa as an extraordinary leader whose brief tenure left a lasting impact.

“Within 15 months, he established the Group Technical and Sustainability Committee and transformed board reporting processes, setting new operational standards,” Alli noted.

Industry stakeholders at the event commended Musa for his strategic foresight, which aligned Pan Ocean and Newcross with industry‑wide transitions, asset consolidations, and regulatory shifts shaping Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
