Osimhen Reveals Why He Returns to Olusosun Whenever He Visits Nigeria

Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, has opened up on why he always visits Olusosun each time he returns to Nigeria.
Olusosun, a community in Lagos, holds deep emotional value for the 26-year-old, who credits the area for shaping his character and life values.
Osimhen noted that growing up there was challenging, but the experiences prepared him for success and molded him into the person he is today.
“I came from a very poor background. I’m the lastborn of seven. I lost my mum at a very young age, and my father passed away in 2020,” Osimhen said in an interview published on UEFA’s website following Galatasaray’s 3-0 Champions League win against Ajax on Wednesday.
“Before fame, life was extremely hard. As a child, I had to fend for myself and also support my siblings to raise money so we could assist our father after our mother died.
“Olusosun shaped me. It may not have given me much materially, but the life lessons I learned there have carried me through my journey.
“For me, it’s a special place. That’s why whenever I come to Nigeria, I always go back — to show gratitude and to encourage young kids. If I could make it out of that environment, I believe they can too.”
