Orji Kalu Vows Intensive Campaign for Tinubu in 2027, Says APC Will Secure Southeast Victory

Former Abia State Governor and Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, has pledged unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, promising to campaign “day and night” across Abia State and the entire Southeast region ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme on Wednesday night, Kalu expressed strong confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would secure victory in the Southeast in the next presidential election.
Kalu dismissed claims that he was misleading President Tinubu about the ruling party’s prospects in the region, stressing that his optimism was based on direct interactions with the people.
“For the first time, President Tinubu will win Abia in 2027,” Kalu declared. “My confidence comes from what I’ve seen on the ground. What happened in 2023 doesn’t matter anymore — I’m focused on the future.”
He further revealed plans to personally lead a vigorous grassroots campaign across the Southeast. “In 2023, I didn’t give it my all, but in 2027, I will stay in Abia for five months, campaigning day and night. We will deliver Abia for Tinubu and the APC,” he stated.
Kalu emphasized that his commitment was not driven by personal gain, adding, “I don’t need anything from the president to deceive him.”
