“GEJ is not constitutionally barred from contesting. Our laws forbid any legislation targeting a particular person,” he added, noting that a detailed legal explanation might be “too complex” for the average reader.

Adeyanju also criticized former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, accusing him of using religious platforms, particularly churches, to amass over six million votes in the 2023 general election.

“This was how the church secured 6 million votes for Obi in 2023. We won’t sit back and watch religious bigots rewrite history,” he posted.

He argued that in a multi-religious country like Nigeria, using religion as a campaign tool is divisive and unacceptable.

“I can never respect a man who used religion to campaign in a multi-religious country. At least the Muslim-Muslim ticket of Tinubu and Shettima didn’t go from mosque to mosque begging for votes,” Adeyanju stated.

He insisted that Obi will not be allowed to replicate the same religious-based campaign strategy in 2027, warning that Nigerians must reject religious polarization in politics.
