Okpebholo Removes New Edo Line CEO, Appoints Acting Head

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the removal of Ms. Tinyan Otuomagie as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of New Edo Line Transport Services Limited.
The decision takes immediate effect, according to a statement issued on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Benin City by the State Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Uwuilekhue Saturday Idehen.
Following her removal, the governor appointed Mr. Smart Aigbodion, the company’s General Manager in charge of Maintenance, as the Acting Managing Director/CEO, pending the appointment of a substantive head for the transport firm.
Governor Okpebholo also directed that Ms. Otuomagie be redeployed to the Ministry of Information, where she will be assigned other duties as determined by the Edo State Government.
The state government emphasized that all decisions outlined in the announcement take effect immediately.
