Nigeria’s LNG Exports Reach Five-Year Peak Amid Surge in Feed-Gas Supply

Nigeria’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports have surged to their highest level in five years, driven by a steady increase in feed-gas supply to processing plants. Industry sources report that expanded production capacity and improved upstream gas delivery have boosted export volumes, benefiting both national revenue and foreign exchange earnings.

Analysts note that the growth comes as global demand for LNG continues to rise, particularly in Europe and Asia, following energy supply disruptions. Nigerian LNG producers have taken advantage of optimized operations at key facilities, ensuring consistent liquefaction output and timely delivery to international markets.

“The increase in feed-gas supply has allowed LNG plants to operate at near full capacity, translating into record export figures. This is a significant win for the energy sector and the economy,” said an energy sector consultant.

Officials also highlighted that continued investment in pipeline infrastructure, gas processing, and export logistics will be crucial to sustaining this momentum and positioning Nigeria as a major global LNG supplier.
