Nigerian Skit Maker Mr Sanku Comedy Dies in Fatal Car Accident Along Oyo-Ogbomoso Road

Nigerian comedian and content creator, Raji Samad Adetola, popularly known as Mr Sanku Comedy, has died following a fatal car accident in Ibadan.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Monday along the Oyo-Ogbomoso road, where Sanku’s vehicle reportedly veered off and crashed into a ditch.
According to eyewitness reports shared on social media, Sanku and a friend who was traveling with him were quickly rushed to a nearby hospital but were pronounced dead hours later. Pictures and videos of the accident scene have since gone viral online.
Mr Sanku Comedy rose to fame in 2021 through his creative skits and unique storytelling style, which earned him a fast-growing fan base. His death has sparked shock and grief across Nigeria’s entertainment industry and among his followers.
Reacting to the tragic news, Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa revealed on Instagram that she had initially received reports that Sanku was responding to treatment at Bowen Hospital. However, despite prayers and hope for his recovery, he later passed away.
Tributes have since poured in from fans and colleagues who described him as a rising star in Nigeria’s comedy scene whose life was cut short too soon.
